$1 is exactly +1.
A Back is paid support for one board entry. A single Checkout can contain 1–99 Backs, and every completed dollar adds one +1.
No stars. No reviews. No hidden score. These are the rules that determine what rises.

Opening Checkout or returning to the success page changes nothing. A signed payment-provider event must be verified and committed first.
Refunded or formally disputed dollars are removed through a new ledger entry. History is not deleted or silently rewritten.
Each Back belongs to the month in which the original payment settled and also contributes to All-Time. A new month opens a new race; old records remain.
MostBacked does not claim that the top listing is objectively the best. The ranking answers one question: what received the most net verified paid backing?
Customers, founders and business owners may Back a listing, including their own. Public profiles use Backer Tags; private payment identity is not displayed.
Unique Backer counts measure distinct MostBacked profiles with a positive net Back balance. They are not a KYC-backed count of unique human beings.
When two entries have the same net Back total, the entry that reached that total first appears higher. Stable entry ID is the final deterministic tie-break.
If a listing violates the law, impersonates another entity or misrepresents its identity, MostBacked may hide or remove it without erasing the underlying payment audit trail.
